Thank you Debbie Davidson Debbie has done it again with her beautiful arrangement of all the assorted reunion photos. Somehow she managed to put them into an order and create a story for us all to enjoy and savor again. Here is a back story on Debbie that she won’t print in the reunion comments section of our reunion site. Too modest! When she contacted me regarding the reunion a while back, I was reminded of the classes we had together. I especially remembered one where she, not the teacher, Mr. Campbell, taught the class for the entire semester. She faithfully taught the previous day’s lesson. Does anyone else out there remember how it went? I think it was first period; I know it was fourth year trigonometry. Campbell would stand up and mumble behind the textbook and then write an assignment on the board. I remember being bewildered by his inscrutable instructions. It was really the first time that I couldn’t “get it” in math, although not the last. Then he would ask if anyone had done yesterday’s work. Only Debbie has done it; the rest of us had been baffled or hadn’t bothered. Debbie got up and explained how to do the lesson of the previous night and then, voila, that lesson was clear to me. I had only to wait until tomorrow to hear how to do today’s work. This was how the entire semester went for me. When I asked Debbie how she managed to teach the trig class day after day, she responded, “Oh, I just read the book.” No surprise, needless to say, that 50 years later and counting, she just managed to create the reunion book, the website, and so much more. Thank you, Debbie. Linda Nimz Ryan
